Today I wanted to speak with you about my purpose and my big why…Why I do what I do. My story began’s as a little girl and a summer away from home to find my calling.
It all began when I was about 6 years old when I spent a summer with my great aunt. She knew I loved art so she made sure to have pencils, crayons, paints and paper waiting for me at her home when I got there. I spent all summer drawing and painting to my heart’s delight.
My aunt would tape all my drawings and paintings I created on her wall and by the end of the summer, her bedroom wall was my personal art gallery. It was then that I knew I wanted to be an artist.
As I got older and started taking art classes in school, I had a teacher that encouraged me to apply to a prestigious art college. She felt that I had what it took to be a graphic designer, so I applied and was accepted with a partial scholarship to Pratt Art Institute.
It was then that I knew I would share my gift with the world in some way.
I found my calling at a young age but still an inner doubt kept me off course until I stopped listening to my inner critic and started pursuing my passion once again.
My soul mission is to bring my talent, creativity and knowledge of visual communication and graphic design to my clients to help them with their visual design needs and collaborate with them to solve their visual branding issues.
